This page should answer most of your questions regarding performances, dress rehearsals, and what to do about them!
1. Unless otherwise specified, the tights should be ballet pink and the shoes should be pink.
2. Unless otherwise specified, hair needs to be in a secure bun with bangs gelled back.
3. Makeup is at the discretion of the students and parents, and should be completed before arrival at the performance. At least some makeup is advised- the stage lights tend to wash out features, so blush, eyeliner, and lipstick helps to accent the face.
4. If you need help with hair or makeup, please arrange an earlier arrival time with Miss Nicole, and someone will be happy to help you.
5. If the student is fully ready to dance, arrival should be 30-45 minutes before curtain. When costumes and props need to be found and arranged, 1 hour before curtain is sufficient.
6. No food or sticky drinks are allowed in the dressing room or backstage- water bottles only, please.
7. Please encourage your children to eat healthy meals on the day of performance, to stretch and stay warm, and to try to keep calm.
8. Unless invited to help backstage, parents / friends / family members are not allowed in the green room before or during the performance.
9. Books or quiet activities may be brought to help your child stay occupied while waiting for their turns.
10. Doors are opened to the public 30-45 minutes before curtain. Please do not ask to be let in early.
11. In the audience: Please do not reserve seats for more than one person.
12. Photos may be taken WITHOUT a flash. Video recording is not allowed.
13. Please turn off or silence your cell phones in the audience.
14. Unless special permission is given, Dress Rehearsals are closed to the public- parents may not stay and observe.
